Save money on your next luxury watch at Philippe's Watches

SalonQP kicks off this Wednesday

More than 30 of the world's most prestigious makers of luxury watches will converge on London this week for the fourth annual SalonQP exhibition. This year's event begins on November 8 with a champagne reception at the show's headquarters, the Saatchi Gallery in the Chelsea neighborhood of the city.

Following the VIP event, there will be two full days of a watch lover's paradise. Whether you want to get an up close and personal look at the latest models from Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Bell & Ross or Ulysse Nardin, or simply see and be seen, this event is the hot ticket on the watch calendar this week.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal last week, the founder of the show, James Gurney, elaborated, saying "The point of SalonQP is to engage people directly. We can tell stories about watches in our magazine or on our website, but that is secondhand experience for the reader. At the fair, people can have firsthand experience of watches instead of only seeing a photograph."

Lovers of timepieces know the importance of experience - the feeling of the watch's weight, the warmth of the leather or shocking chill of steel, the glint of light on its pristine face and the slight tick that is able to be felt through the skin of one's wrist. SalonQP allows everyone to enter this world.

Tickets to the event are extremely affordable (other than those to the VIP-specific parties), ranging from 20 to 30 pounds. If you're in the United Kingdom this week, check out this legendary show.

On the other hand, if you happen to be on the West Coast, Philippe's Watches offers a number of the brands exhibited at this year's SalonQP at our intimate Beverly Hills watch store, so you can get the full experience of your next timepiece before you buy.
